You will find a variety of fish in the canal at Casuarina Point.  It is a GREAT place to take children fishing, because you can fish from the bank.  It is also a good place to go if you have having windy weather and do not want to go out in the boat to fish.

The best spot is at the end of the road.  You drive past our houses and keep going until the read dead-ends at the canal.  The pavements ends and you keep going straight to the point.

There are many similar but different types of snappers in canal:  Mangrove Snappers, also known as Grey Snappers and Lane Snappers.

You will also catch grunts.   The canal fish are good pan frying fish.
