Wally’s has been one of the most popular restaurants in Marsh Harbour for many years. These pictures (and writeup) are pre-Hurricane Dorian. Sadly, Dorian severely damaged it, but GOOD NEWS: Wally’s is predicting that they will be opening again in November 2021! We are ready for it to be back! They replanted a lot of the landscaping over a year ago, and the building is looking closer to ready. I hope they make the planned schedule!
It is in a lovely, pink and white, colonial style home located across from the harbor on Front Street. Most of the seating is open air with a view of the beautifully landscaped yard and the harbor across the way. Wally’s serves tasty, authentic Bahamian dishes using the fresh seafood available in Abaco. The service at Wally’s is good – many on the staff have worked there for years.
Wally’s is open Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner and is closed on Sundays. It is best to make reservations for dinner, but you might be able to walk in and hang out at the charming bar while you wait for an open table.
The Conch Chowder is fantastic!…and the Cracked Conch is the best on the island! The fresh catch of the day, with several choices of preparation – including the Bahamian way – is always great choice, too.
